What is 12 Habits 4 All of Us?

The 12 monthly habit-formation framework. has been motivating thousands of people since their inception 30 years ago in the Pittsburgh region, amassing overwhelming evidence of their success.

It has been sponsored by Rotary International, including initiatives to instill peace among youth in Rwanda, to support Haitian refugees and to reduce bullying in American schools. These efforts are just a glimpse of the program's far-reaching impact.

The 12 Habits year-round framework motivates a system of kindness that is more powerful than just random acts. Aristotle said, “We are what we repeatedly do.” Our life is formed by our habits.

The 12 Habits are a simple and reliable framework of reminders to form habits, that is already proven, after 30 years pf practice among thousands of people, to change lives for the better.  (See Research details)

If you’re overwhelmed by division and conflict, take heart. Here is an already proven year-round path to bring us together again.  12 Habits 4 All of Us is a monthly framework that uplifts your life as well as bringing peace and unity to those in the world around you.

The 12 Habits are simple reminders, just like using sticky notes or practicing holidays, because we already know what to do and when they are happening. You don’t need complex training - because these 12 aspects of a happier life are already well known.  We just need reminding to uplift our practices.

So… Let’s Get Started Now.

How Does it Work?

It’s easy.  We already know these habits – we just forget to practice them. Some of the 12 habit-reminders are about personal development and some habits strengthen our relationships. April’s habit focuses on taking care of our environment.

In Elaine Parke’s book, “The Habits of Unity,” there is a “Warning!” This book is habit-forming and may cause a happier life.”  Following the daily motivational readings in her book is just one way to benefit from being part of the 12 Habits movement towards peace, hope and more happiness for all of us.
